Today is my last day as a middle school art teacher…..for now. I get to spend the next several months as a full-time artist and I couldn’t be more excited to see where this adventure takes me and my business.
Everyone talks about the different seasons in life…well this is certainly a new season for me. In fact, I’m not even sure where to start and it’s a little scary. I didn’t leave because I wanted to, let’s be clear. I love my job! In reality, my husband was offered a super exciting new job opportunity and my commute was less than desirable with a 20 month old who demands music from Moana, The Little Mermaid, and all things Disney. This morning on our hour and a half commute he was screaming at me until “Under the Sea” came on…then goes “Mommy, Mommy, (I turn around)…he smiles and starts dancing in his seat. Oye! I think I’ve created a monster. Please direct me to the nearest Mommy blog with insight on how to NOT GIVE IN. My sanity in the classroom would have been questionable with Sebastian on repeat for much longer. Ha!
Anyway, in all seriousness, this incredible and exciting opportunity for our family will allow me to spend my days painting, blogging, building creative content, and whatever else the #artistmomlife throws my way. I hope you will follow me on this journey and maybe even sign up for my email list so you can get insider info on art releases, freebies, and creative projects for the entire family.
